Water "Preciosa" with eyes set on exports. Factory asks the Government for help to reach the Arab market

With its eyes set on exports, the mineral water processing and bottling plant "Preciosa", located in Lubango, has requested support from the Government of Huila province in order to reach the Arab market.

:

Valdemar Ribeiro, administrator of the factory, made it known that the Arab market is interested in importing this product 'made in Angola' as well as has the financial means to move forward with the commercialization.

Cited by Angop, the official explained that that market uses the process of desalination of sea water among other types of chemical filtration to have drinking water. However, the quality of the liquid is not high and, for this reason, this market may become a destination of interest for future exports.

The plan is to export water in glass bottles, with and without gas, and medicinal juices. However, according to Valdemar Ribeiro, there is a need for an agreement between the two countries for the export process to become a reality.

"The ships come full of Arab countries and anchor in the ports of Namibe, Lobito and Luanda, but return empty, "he said.

Belonging to the "O Regente" Group, the factory opened its doors in 2014. It is capable of filling 8,000 bottles of 1.5 liters and 0.5 milliliters of water per hour, using the Humpata spur aquifer, which is capable of providing 50,000 liters of water per hour. However, without much of a market presence the filtered water ends up being wasted.
