Production support programs received more than a hundred credit requests in five days

In the week of June 21st to 25th, 105 new requests for financing were transferred to the Bank, increasing to 95 projects under negotiation, under the Program for Support to Production, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI) and the Reconversion Program the Informal Economy (PREI).

Of the 105 projects, 72 are in line with Notice 10/20 of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), 32 with the Credit Support Program (PAC) and one project with Presidential Decree 98/20 on goods of national origin, according to the report. biweekly briefing released by the Ministry of Economy and Planning.

Since 2019, the instruments and financial products available to PRODESI have enabled the approval of 795 projects, with an expected generation of approximately 51,000 jobs.

Approved projects amount to 659.9 billion kwanzas, of which 499.9 billion correspond to 243 projects approved last year and 185.2 billion for 40 projects approved this year under Notice 10/20.

Deutsche Bank's credit line provided 82 billion kwanzas for three projects in 2020, and 41.4 billion were spent under Economic Relief Measures. The PAC supported 21 projects with 36.3 billion kwanzas and other commercial banking instruments and financial products financed three projects with a total value of 574 million kwanzas.

As for the distribution by sector, the report states that since 2019, 362 projects have been approved for agriculture, trade and distribution 226, manufacturing industry 121, livestock 32, aquaculture 24, marine fishing 25 and continental fishing five.

At the level of each province, 173 projects were approved in Luanda, Benguela 60, Huambo 58, Huíla 56, Cuanza Sul, 43, Cuando Cubango and Bengo 40, Bié 39, Uíge 36, Lunda Sul and Malanje 32, Cunene and Namibe 30, Cabinda 28, Lunda Norte and Cuanza Norte 25, Zaire 24 and Moxico 23, totaling 795.

In the domain of access to the internal market, the registration of producers is taking place on the National Production Disclosure Portal (PPN), which currently brings together 13,082 national producers, 118 more than last week.
