In a statement released Wednesday evening, MINSA reassured users and said they will be summoned through the usual channels.

According to the authorities, the second dose of vaccines from Pfizer, Astrazeneca and Sinopharm, continue to be administered in vaccination centers.

On Monday, the President, João Lourenço, and the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, received the second dose of immunization.

On the occasion, Health Minister Silvia Lutucuta informed that the country will receive, in the near future, vaccines from various sources under bilateral and multilateral mechanisms.

The second dose of Sputnik V vaccine started to be administered on July 16th, when Angola received an order of 25 thousand doses of the Russian vaccine.

The government will spend, in total, $111 million to acquire six million doses of Sputnik V.

With 30 million people, Angola has 15.6 million eligible to be vaccinated.

More than 1.7 million doses have already been administered, and about 650,000 people have complete immunization.
