As Diamond Sponsor, the flagship oil company will be "the official sponsor of the AOG 2021 gala dinner, an exclusive networking event for guests that brings together private sector executives, oil and gas leaders and government representatives," a statement sent to VerAngola reads.
Representing Africa's third largest company and one of the continent's leading national oil companies, the national oil company "is expected to drive an Angola-centric narrative, reiterating the value of new and developing projects, presenting the abundant opportunities present across the value chain and promoting Angola as a leading international investment destination."
In addition, Sonangol will also present "an update on the company's regeneration program" and will also set out an "overview of current operations, the potential of its investment opportunities and its medium and long-term objectives."
Sonangol's participation in the conference is also expected to promote debate on "the various upstream opportunities available in Angola."
"Sonangol's diamond sponsorship emphasizes the company's goal of building stronger relationships between regional and international oil and gas industry operators, foreign investors and the local government," the note adds.
João Gaspar Marques, Director of the International Conference of Energy Capital & Power (ECP), which organizes the conference, cited in the statement said they intend to "ensure that current and future investments are adequately exposed to favorable business opportunities.
"The Angola Oil and Gas Conference 2021 is an ideal platform to bring investors together with industry leaders and to stimulate foreign direct investment in the oil and gas industry," it added.
The event will take place at the Talatona Convention Center and will talk about the government's current reforms in the industry, the country's fiscal incentive packages, among others.
