The person in charge, who was speaking on the sidelines of the visit to the central works, explained, quoted by Jornal de Angola, that the works are already in the final straight: the water supply and treatment system is being finished.
As for electricity distribution, Leonardo Sapalo stressed that it would be carried out by the public network through the Laúca hydroelectric plant. This supply will also be supported by the thermal station of Belém do Huambo, he said.
The Centrality of Caála is composed by a total of 4000 dwellings: 2832 are T3 type, 808 are duplex type, 361 are ground houses and 240 are commercial houses.
The real estate development is also composed of three children's centres, two kindergartens, three primary schools, two secondary schools, a health centre, a sports complex and a technical-professional training institute.
The work began in 2012 and it is expected that the centrality will have a capacity to house some 28,000 people.
