"The Council of Ministers held its 6th ordinary session this Friday, 27 June, in the meeting room of the Presidential Palace, in Cidade Alta, under the guidance of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço", the Presidency of the Republic reported in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
One of the topics on the table was the presidential decree that gives the green light to the Procedure for the Sale and Legal Regularisation of Residential Properties Confiscated, Constructed or Purchased up to 2008.
"Among the many matters discussed was the presidential decree that approves the Procedure for the Sale and Legal Regularisation of Residential Properties Confiscated, Constructed or Purchased up to 2008, with the aim of ensuring the transfer of property ownership from the legal sphere of the State to private individuals", the Presidency explained.
"This provides legal certainty and security regarding the ownership of properties, which provides, among other advantages, a good business environment in the real estate sector, allowing for the conclusion of legal transactions", the note adds.
This legislation "covers all real estate for residential purposes acquired by the State, through confiscation, construction and purchase processes, integrated into its private domain, up to 2008, thus excluding those intended for commercial, industrial, professional and related purposes".
In addition, the council also considered the presidential decree approving the Organic Statute of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Angola (ANADA), "which establishes standards to ensure the defence of sporting integrity, fairness in competitions and the effective protection of athletes, among other purposes".
The Organic Statute of the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Council was also approved, "an entity that will ensure compliance with the international guidelines of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in the country".
Among the nine items on the agenda for this Friday's session, "the approval of the Organic Statute of the Ministry of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland was also included", the note reads.
