Several entities, including the Chinese ambassador to Angola Zhang Bin, were present at the signing ceremony of the memorandum, whose signatories were Luís Troso and Li Xiaoyu, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Sanep group and vice-chairman of the Sinomach group, respectively.
According to Angop, this is a private initiative project that aims to boost national agriculture, with the aim of increasing basic foods for national families, as well as the export of agricultural products, involving the investing and implementing companies, in this case, Angolan and Chinese, respectively.
The implementation of the project should begin in three months, initially in Malanje, and should expand to other regions of the country, covering an investment of around 12 million dollars to build the tractor assembly line and the training school for agricultural technicians.
On the occasion, Luís Troso said that, by signing the document, Sanep aims to significantly help the progress of agriculture in the country.
Thus, he said they expect to train 300 technicians per year, as well as assemble 300 tractors in the same period: "We expect to train 300 technicians annually, assemble the same number of tractors in the same period, create 500 direct jobs and generate more than 500 indirect jobs."
The governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, said that it is a great satisfaction to receive this assembly line and the school, which will favor agricultural progress at a local level, writes Angop.
