According to a statement from CIPRA, which VerAngola had access to, the meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon in Luanda.
"The renowned specialist is once again in Angola, a country where he is developing a training program for Angolan doctors in this complex area of medicine," the statement reads.
The doctor, who is considered one of the world's leading authorities on robotic surgery, has been performing robotic surgeries in Angola.
"Dr. Patel has been performing robotic surgeries on patients suffering from urological diseases at the Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex in Luanda," says CIPRA, which adds that "the doctor, known for his pioneering work worldwide, has recently stood out for his telesurgery programs, where surgeons can operate remotely, challenging the limits and frontiers of medical technology."
It is worth remembering that the first robotic surgery in the country was performed in August last year by Dr. Vipul Patel.
