According to a note from the provincial government, to which VerAngola had access, this center will welcome young inventors in that province.
In statements at Angotic 2024, cited by Angop, the president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), João Nkosi, made it known that they have already carried out the identification, together with the government province, of an infrastructure in Huíla so that the implementation of the incubator can move forward, with the aim of providing young people with training, as well as supporting startups, in a measure that is justified by, in recent times, they have been registering many initiatives of this type in the province.
On the occasion, the person in charge also indicated that Huíla "stands out in digital entrepreneurship with startups, with INAPEM registering 38 incubators nationally, of which 12 are in the province of Huíla".
The project will have the support of Huawei, which, according to another note from the Huíla government, to which VerAngola had access, will equip the center with incubators.
"The inventors of startups in Huíla will have technological support, within the framework of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the digital domain, an initiative of the National Institute for Support for Small and Medium Enterprises - INAPEM and the 'technological giant' Huawei that signed yesterday [Thursday] in Luanda, a partnership agreement, which includes equipping, at the highest technological level, the business incubator center under construction, in the city of Lubango-Huíla", the note reads.
This agreement was signed between João Nkosi and the CEO of Huawei, Hou Qiang, in the Chinese company's pavilion, which is one of the exhibitors present at the 4th edition of Angotic 2024.
The center will have tablets, computers and Internet, and should be incorporated into the Chinese company's academy, while young people will be able to access the company's cloud to create their applications.
In turn, cited by Angop, the head of Huawei considered that the agreement signed aims to improve the entrepreneur ecosystem in Angola, stimulate innovation and development of startups, promote technological progress in the field of communication, as well as provide a favorable climate for new business models, especially with regard to diversifying the economy.
