According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, João Lourenço had, this Friday, "contact with the process of transforming cocoa into chocolate, visiting the different sections of the 'Cémoi Chocolatier' factory in Abidjan".
In the honor book of the aforementioned factory, the head of state "congratulated the Ivorians for the journey made in the cocoa production sector, which goes from cultivation to the finished product that is consumed internally and exported to different markets, in Africa and outside the continent".
The Ivory Coast, says the Presidency of the Republic, "is the largest producer of cocoa in the world and for several years it has chosen not to export only raw material to the large chocolate producers, setting up numerous factories in its own territory".
This Friday was also marked by a meeting between the President and representatives of the Angolan community in Côte d'Ivoire.
"The meeting served as a conversation about the country, its projects and challenges, and also an opportunity for fellow citizens living abroad to talk about their dreams and life perspectives", says a note from the Presidency of the Republic.
It is recalled that the President of the Republic arrived in Côte d'Ivoire on Wednesday, having started his official visit on Thursday. From this two-day journey, the signing of 14 cooperation agreements in various sectors stands out, notably Agriculture, Mineral Resources and Hydrocarbons, Health, Information Technologies, Commerce and Culture.
