According to a brief statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the vice-mayor "is part of a delegation made up of 24 members of the Tucker family, North Americans of Angolan descent from the province of Malanje".

According to Angop, one of the central issues discussed was the proposal to establish a partnership of Twin Cities between Hampton, Virginia and Malanje, whose partnership aims to encourage cultural exchanges that bring the people of Angola and the USA closer together, enabling greater understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation also analyzed opportunities to increase US investment in Angola, as well as discussing strategies to encourage US companies to invest in various sectors in Angola, helping with economic growth and job creation in Angola.

According to Angop, the US embassy assured its commitment to providing support to these projects, considering that the partnership between Hampton Roads and Malanje will bring significant benefits to both communities.

Remember that the Tucker family makes frequent visits to Angola. The first time he came to the country was in 2022, with a delegation made up of 19 members.

The most recent visit by African-Americans Tucker began on June 21st and will continue until the end of the month, with visits not only to Luanda, but also to the provinces of Cuanza Norte and Malanje.
