The official, who was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the seminar on "The Impact of Public Works Contracts on Boosting the Local Economy", stressed that a presidential decree was recently approved on information and procedures for applying administrative offenses and the SNCP sent out a circular that was sent to all budgetary units, in order to send the specific data of all companies that had not complied with their contractual obligations.
Companies that are in this condition, continued the official, "will not be able to continue contracting with the State".
Osvaldo Ngoloimwe said that there had been improvements in relation to the problem of hiding contracted values, but some entities still did not mention the prices of the estimated values in the contracts.
"But we, as a regulatory body, are adopting a set of measures, from the possibility of blocking expenses, in case of illegality in these terms and other situations that the law itself presents and now the painstaking work of creation of the list of companies prevented from contracting with the State", said the deputy director general of the SNCP.
