Vice President of Namibia in Angola to attend summit

The vice-president of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, is in Angola, where he will participate in the Quadripartite Summit of EAC, ECCAS, IRGL and SADC, which will take place this Tuesday (June 27).

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which VerAngola had access to, the vice president arrived in Luanda on Sunday night.

The summit, adds the note, takes place under the auspices of the African Union and the participation of the United Nations.

According to the statement, Nangolo Mbumba, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Namibia, and Frans Kapofi, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, was welcomed at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"For this summit, already in Luanda are Elias Magosi, executive secretary of SADC, João Manuel Caholo, executive secretary of CIRGL, Parfait Onanga Anyanga, special representative of the secretary general of the UN to the African Union, and Huang Xia, special envoy of António Guterres for the Great Lakes", reads the note.

In addition, already in Luanda to participate in the summit, "Ambassador Gilberto da Piedade Veríssimo, chairman of the CEEAC commission, Peter Mutuku Mathuki, general secretary of CAO and the deputy prime minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Republic Republic of Congo, Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo and Christophe Lutundula Apala Pen'Apala, respectively".
