Angola and Portugal signed this Monday the territorial cohesion protocol

The Portuguese Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, will participate this Monday in Luanda in the celebrations of the Day of Portugal and will sign a protocol during the visit that foresees, among other actions, the institutionalization of a Forum of Territorial Cohesion.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MAT), the protocol includes training actions, institutional cooperation and follow-up and monitoring of the administrative decentralization process.

The sharing of experiences in the field of implementing economic and social cohesion programs is also planned, as well as the definition of public policies for territorial development and promotion of local development.

The protocol also includes actions aimed at programs that guarantee the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the territories, the reduction of local asymmetries and the development of the territory and enhancement of the Interior.

The minister is expected to discuss with the Minister of Territory Administration, Dionísio da Fonseca, issues such as the increase in mutual political concertation and the consolidation of cooperation relations with a view to strengthening the strategic partnership in the field of territorial cohesion.

In the afternoon, Ana Abrunhosa participates, at the Portuguese School in Luanda, in the Commemorations of the Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities, with a concert by the fado singer Ana Moura.
