The inauguration was up to the First Lady of the Republic, who after having unveiled the plaque was informed about the species planted, as well as about the landscape architecture outlined by the architect of the Expo Garden, Mara Weza, writes Angop.

The sustainability of the newly inaugurated space is linked to the fusion of local materials, such as grass, tropical bushes, palm trees, trees, as well as the use of objects such as brick, informed Mara Weza, who, quoted by Angop, admitted that the initiative concerns a comprehensive component due to the fact that it involves the residents of the vicinity of the garden.

Thó Simão, responsible for painting certain images in the garden, said that they have "aspects of nature, such as rivers, plants and birds", in the sense that children can identify in the images "care for the environment".

"Aspects of nature, such as rivers, plants and birds, are at the base, so that children, in addition to the green of the trees, can also read the care for the environment in the images", he said, quoted by Angop.

Regretting that many people still do not know about the need to have trees around them and vandalize what the project has carried out, Azevedo Ebo, president of the National Committee of the Scout Association, also referred that of the 100 thousand trees cultivated in the country, only 70 are controlled thousand, of which 30 thousand were uprooted and he recalled: "Trees transform carbon gas into oxygen and store carbon dioxide".
