Also in this category, TuriAgro and Vida Fresh also stood out, winning the second and third places on the podium, respectively.

Among those awarded, according to Angop, is also the municipality of Dembos, which won the awards in the categories of 'Best Municipality' and 'Small Producers'. The 'Machinery and Work Equipment' category was won by Ferpinta.

Regarding the award, Hélder Cardeta, manager of Novagrolider – in statements to the press, cited by Angop – referred that the work and commitment of the team that exposed a stand with its potential to the fairgrounds is the basis of the achievement.

On his turn, Joaquim Cangulo, municipal administrator of Dembos, praised the work of cooperatives and peasant associations that were able to show at the fair the work carried out at municipal level, writes Angop.

In terms of results, the fair closed its doors with a turnover of approximately 100 million kwanzas, according to Angop, which cites the coordinator of the organizing committee, deputy governor José Bartolomeu Pedro.

According to a statement from the Provincial Government of Bengo, to which VerAngola had access, the results of the event "exceeded the most optimistic expectations and raised the bar for the next editions".

At the closing ceremony, the governor of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, stressed the need for bananas in that province to "assume an increasingly prominent place in agricultural production".

"There is a slogan that said that our oil goes far. Today we can proudly say that our banana goes far too", highlighted the governor, quoted in the note.

The event - which, according to Angop, was visited by more than 3000 people a day - took place between Friday and Sunday (from 23 to 25 June), and aimed at publicizing the province's potential, promoting agricultural production and the sharing of experience between entrepreneurs and agricultural cooperatives.
