The defense, which took place at 3 pm in Angola, focused on the thesis "Liberation and Overcoming Violence in the Logic of Philosophy by Eric Wiel", says a statement sent to VerAngola.
The Jury Commission consisted of Ardian Ndreca (moderator) and Giambattista Formica and Paolo Fornari (co-supervisors).
Artur Pina was born in Sanza Pombo, in the province of Uíge. He took the Teacher Training course at IMNE – Instituto Médio Norma de Educação – in Uíge (1990-1992). He studied Philosophy (1993-1995) and Theology (1996-2001) at the Diocesan Major Seminars of São Paulo do Uíge and Archdiocesan Sagrado Coração de Jesus de Luanda.
He was ordained a Priest in Uíge on 8 September 2002, having also been Spiritual Director of the Archdiocesan Major Seminary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Luanda (2002-2006) and Rector of the Diocesan Major Seminary of São Paulo do Uíge (2009-2018) .
He is a professor at the Higher Institute of Education Sciences (ISCED) in Uíge and the author of four social, philosophical and ethical-political works: "The Overcoming of the Violent Being", "Man and Citizenship", "The Dialectical Convergences between Ethics and Politics and "Half Truths or Whole Falsehoods?"
