Presidential order 175/222, of 24 June, published in Diário da República, consulted this Wednesday by the Lusa agency, states that, in 2020, the framework financing agreement between the Government of Angola and Luminar Finance, Limited, linked to the Israeli group Mitrelli, for the financing and/or refinancing of projects, infrastructure and services in various sectors of the economy.
The document also stresses that there is a need to proceed with the financial framework of the projects referred to in the framework agreement in order to finance or refinance projects, infrastructures and services in the energy, natural resources, education, agriculture, agro-processing, water, sanitation, technology and communication, real estate, health and economy.
In this regard, the President authorized addendum no. 2 to the works contract worth 27.4 million dollars for the construction of the 220 kv transmission line Gabela-Sumbe, Gabela-Waku Kungo, and associated substations for the construction of the 220/60 kv Electric Substation in Quibala, and construction of five kilometers of the 60 kv transmission line for the interconnection of the Quibala 220/60 kv (transport) and Quibala 60/30 kv (distribution) substations, in the province of Cuanza Sul.
The amount of 17 million dollars was also authorized for the supply of equipment for the Luanda and Bengo Criminalistics Laboratories of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and improvement of the technological units of this body of the Ministry of the Interior.
Funding of 150 million dollars was authorized for the modernization of the Ministry of the Interior and its services, with the same ministerial department benefiting from another 60 million dollars for the supply of heavy vehicles and the provision of logistical services.
In the sports sector, in addition to the construction of the Sports Center in Bengo province, funding was authorized for the design and construction of a football stadium in Uíge province, in the amount of 38.8 million dollars.
Still in the area of sports, the province of Huambo will have a football stadium, with funding of 40.9 million dollars having been authorized for this undertaking.
