The process, organized into 212 folders, was delivered by president Pedro Neto, who was accompanied by the vice-president of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Luísa Damião, by the party's secretary general, Paulo Pombolo, and other leaders of the political organization, including the candidate for vice-president of the Republic, Esperança Costa.

In statements to the press, Luísa Damião said that a "hard work was carried out, from the collection of subscriptions, to the documentation of the candidacies for deputies". "We have a higher number than the law provides, this shows, in a clear and evident way, that our party is an organized party, it always works in anticipation", she said.

The MPLA is the first party to submit its candidacy to the Constitutional Court, which is a demonstration, according to Luísa Damião, that the MPLA is "a serious party".

"We are an organized party, which always works in anticipation, we are a party that does not work only when there are elections, our party is in constant movement, we work all the time, in order to strengthen our political work and the result is here. ", he stressed.

According to Luísa Damião, the party did "a good job, marked by rigor and a lot of responsibility". "Now we are waiting for the Constitutional Court to do its part and notify our party, but we are confident that we have fulfilled our role well and that our candidacy will be validated", she stressed.

Regarding the candidates for deputies to the National Assembly, the MPLA vice-president said that there are 355 candidacies, "with the documents that the law requires".

Asked if there were any readjustments to the list of candidates for deputies to the National Assembly, Luísa Damião said that a resolution had been approved, only "with caution".

"After we hand it over to the Constitutional Court, if any document is not in good condition - which we think almost all of them are - but one or another problem can happen and we, under this resolution, can do whatever is necessary, it was just because this," he said.

The MPLA vice-president stressed that the party's list includes figures from civil society, prominent party militants "and who will make their best contribution to the Angolan parliament".

The representative, in statements to the press, stressed that the province with the highest number of subscriptions was Lunda Norte, stressing that "the important thing is that all provinces complied with what was required, which are 500 to 550 signatures at the level of the circles provincial and national circle level from 5000 to 5500".
