The film's director, Levis Albano, actors Sandra Gomes, Joel Benoliel and Celma Pontes, producer Iracema de Oliveira, as well as other members of the team, were present at the event and spoke to guests about the production process of the cinematographic work and the expectations of distribution of "Mutu Mbi" inside and outside Angola.
The premiere night was also attended by Adelaide Jorge, Vice Consul of Angola in São Paulo, António Pinheiro, also Vice Consul of Angola in the State of São Paulo, and Andreia Sousa, Deputy Secretary for Culture of the City of São Paulo .
The meeting was held by the Casa de Angola Cultural Center in São Paulo, represented by the director Isidro Sanene, with the support of the Angolan Embassy in Brazil, through the Casa de Angola Cultural Center in Bahia, directed by the Deputy Cultural Attaché Benjamim Sabby, who, when he took the floor, he spoke about the importance of events like this in the dissemination and internationalization of Angolan culture.
"Mutu Mbi" is the first Angolan film production, of a fictional genre, to premiere in Brazilian cinemas. The film tells the story of plastic artist Otchaly Hanji, who, after murdering his wife out of greed, places a curse on his family that unleashes a wave of secrets and mysteries in the lives of the characters in the plot.
