National Bank of Angola says 'Kwanza Card' is not authorized to exercise financial services

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) warned this Thursday that the company 'Kwanza Card', which sells international payment cards, is not authorized to carry out financial activities in Angola.

:

"The National Bank of Angola warns that the company 'Kwanza Card' is not authorized to carry out, in Angola, any financial activity subject to its supervision, namely, the provision of payment services, financial investments or any other activity reserved for financial institutions", reads a statement made available on the BNA website.

Last week, the regulator had warned of the lack of qualifications for the exercise of financial activity by another entity, "Casa de Câmbio Angola", whose corporate purpose is to carry out operations for the purchase and sale of foreign currency, cryptocurrencies, payments and money transfers, advertised on the social network Instagram.

The BNA appeals to banking financial institutions and the general public to avoid any business relationship with these entities, as well as its promoters to refrain from performing any act that could be qualified as a very serious misdemeanor.
