Narciso Benedito, provincial director of education, says there is "clear evidence" that students had access to the statements and answers of the exams before they were held.
Speaking to Angop, the official explained that some students created a group on WhatsApp in order to access the exam and circulate it to other schools.
After becoming aware of the situation through denunciations, the Provincial Office of Education in Luanda cancelled the exams, including those that had already been taken on June 7, he explained.
The official also told Angop that new exams are already being prepared.
The office has also filed a criminal complaint to the police in order to determine responsibility. According to a source of the Criminal Investigation Service revealed to Angop, for now all the technicians involved in the process of producing the exams are under suspicion.
