Bureau Veritas expands support for renewable energy projects in Angola

A global leader in the testing, inspection and certification industry, Bureau Veritas is ensuring its business for sustainability and growth in Central Africa and Angola (CAFA) by diversifying its services in the area of renewable energy.

Pedro Benedito, the company's Sales and Marketing director, explained that Bureau Veritas is currently involved in two solar photovoltaic power plant projects, with another seven planned to start at the end of this year. Combined, the projects will install a total of 500 MW, "positioning Angola as the country in sub-Saharan Africa with the most solar energy projects to date."

Bureau Veritas is also providing support to a series of hydro dam projects and a thermal power plant, which is scheduled to start up at the end of this year.
