Oil exports in May earned more than 430 billion kwanzas for the state coffers

Oil exports in the month of May earned the state more than 430 billion kwanzas. Last month, oil tax revenues stood at 434.6 billion kwanzas, a result of the export of 35 million barrels of oil.

Comparing the figures for May with those for April it can be seen that oil tax revenues suffered a growth of around 121 billion kwanzas.

According to figures cited by Angop, in April revenues totalled 313.2 billion kwanzas against 434.6 billion kwanzas in May.

Of the 15 blocks that are being operated, block 17 was the one that exported the most oil (more than 11 million barrels), followed by block 0 A Cabinda and block 32.

Regarding the revenue related to Oil Income Taxes and Oil Production Taxes, the numbers also went up. In April, the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) pocketed 148.8 billion kwanzas, while in May the figure rose to 315.5 billion kwanzas.

Daily production in May averaged 1,125,416 barrels, exceeding the 1,184,813 barrels forecast, Angop reported.

According to an assessment of the first quarter of this year, tax revenues amounted to over 1.1 billion kwanzas. However, in the first three months of 2021 there was a drop of about 265 billion kwanzas compared to the 1.4 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2020.

According to figures cited by Angop, production in the first quarter of this year was 1.381 million barrels of oil.
