Cited by Jornal de Angola, the director of the Office of Studies, Planning and Statistics also made it known that, under the municipal program of houses to be built in Bengo, Cabinda and Cunene, it was recently approved, the construction of over 5000 homes.

He also indicated that, so far, the Ministry of Public Works and Territorial Planning has already concluded the construction of about 68 thousand houses distributed in 16 centralities.

António Morais also took the opportunity to reveal that work has already started to build 35 centralities in the country, as part of the National Urbanism and Housing Program - which aims to ensure the universal right to adequate housing for citizens.

He also talked about one of the main challenges of the Government in what concerns the construction sector. According to the responsible, the projects for this sector cause high expenses that not always can keep up with the financial availability.

António Morais considered that the financing is crucial for the construction of some buildings that have already been started to be finished and recognized that for this to happen it is necessary to choose a new financing model through public-private partnerships.

"The Public Works and Territorial Planning sector is open to direct contacts of public-private partnerships with the Indonesian business community, in order to outline the goals recommended by the Angolan government," he informed, cited by Jornal de Angola.
