The remaining six cases are still ongoing and it is up to the Board of Directors of the regulator to decide whether to proceed with a sanctioning action, in order to clear up administrative offences.

This Thursday, this information was given by the CMVM's President, Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, and by the Director José Miguel Almeida, at the press conference presenting the 2019 annual report.

According to Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, there was "a lot of work done" and another one that continues to be done.

José Miguel Almeida pointed out that nine auditors, 27 entities audited by these auditors, 84 audit files and 138 transactions were supervised.

In January of this year, the President of the CMVM had told journalists that the financial markets regulator had initiated "concrete supervisory actions" within the scope of the dossier called 'Luanda Leaks', which detailed the financial schemes of the businesswoman Isabel dos Santos, considering the information disclosed by the International Research Journalism Consortium (ICIJ) "of enormous importance to the CMVM".
