Joana Lina on field visit identifies problems but makes no promises

Joana Lina, newly appointed governor of the province of Luanda, spent three days on a field trip through the municipality of Viana, the first stage of her project as a 'commander' of the capital's destinations. Despite not making promises, the manager prioritizes more work and identifies problems to be solved.

Pedro Parente:

Water, electricity, social and administrative infrastructures, disordered constructions and drainage valleys are the main problems in Luanda, and the governor appealed to her collaborators for greater engagement in the work to find solutions.

The governor also addressed the situation of the ravines spread over several areas of the municipality, stating that the matter is part of a package from the Ministry of Construction in collaboration with other entities related to the matter.

According to Angop, Joana Lina also referred to the dispute between the Viana Municipal Administration and the EPAL housing project, saying that she hopes to listen to the other party in order to find a harmonious solution to the problem.

During the day, the official was present in the auditorium of the Jean Piaget University, where she heard the concerns of the communities represented by class associations and commissions of residents of the urban and communal districts.

In this journey through Viana, Joana Lina passed through the urban districts of Kikuxi and Vila Flor, the Municipal Hospital of Zango and the retention basins of Vila Pacifica and Zango 2. She was also in the Zango market and in the EPAL Housing project, in Zango 5.

Joana Lina was appointed by João Lourenço to the post of provincial governor of Luanda on May 25, coming from the same functions but in the province of Huambo. He replaced Sérgio Luther Rescova.
