The current situation in relations between the European Union and Angola was one of the topics discussed at the meeting, said Ulicny after leaving an audience with João Lourenço at the Presidential Palace, in Luanda.
The European official said that the next European Union-African Union summit will take place on 28 and 29 October, with representation at the presidential level.
"We hope that the President will come to Brussels, as a participant who can contribute to our vision for the new partnership between Angola, Africa and the European Union," he said.
During the meeting, foreign policy issues at regional level were also addressed, namely the situation in the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as the instability in Cabo Delgado (Mozambique).
