President dismisses members of the Armed Forces and rotates ambassadors

The President of the Republic signed several decrees this Wednesday, after having heard the National Security Council, which promote general officers and superiors to new positions in the military hierarchy, appoint general officers and admirals to new positions and dismiss several general officers and admirals.

The set of diplomas also includes orders to release several general officers and admirals from Active Military Service until retirement, due to age limits.

In the National Police, the President of the Republic appointed commissioned officers to different positions, dismissed commissioned officers and promoted commissioned and superior officers to various positions within the corporation.

Of the decisions taken, the Presidency of the Republic highlights the promotion of Commissioner Orlando Bernardo to the Police Post of Chief Commissioner, who was appointed by decree to serve as 2nd General Commander of the Angolan National Police.

Another decision by the President of the Republic is the dismissal of Chief Fire Commissioner Manuel Lutango from his post as Commander of the Civil Protection and Fire Service of the Ministry of the Interior. In his place, Fire Chief Bravo Mendes was appointed.

On Tuesday, the President signed several decrees dismissing and appointing heads of diplomatic missions abroad.

Domingos Pacheco leaves his post in Cote D'Ivoire, being replaced by Oliveira Encoge. Sandro de Oliveira is leaving Tanzania, where Domingos Coelho will go. Emílio Sobrinho was dismissed from his post as Serbian ambassador, for which Eduardo Octávio was accredited.

The Government note to which VerAngola had access also reports the appointment of Lizeth Pena to the post of Angolan ambassador to the Netherlands.
