According to the Ministry of Health's current situation regarding this epidemic, released this Monday, seven deaths and 221 new infections were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The province of Luanda reported 45 of the total cases in one day, followed by Namibe (44), Benguela (44), Cuanza Sul (42), Malanje (16), Cuanza Norte (12), Icolo e Bengo (6), Huíla (5), Cabinda (4), Lunda Norte (2) and Bengo (1).
In the last 24 hours, 279 people were discharged, with 535 other people hospitalized with cholera.
The data indicate that since the beginning of the epidemic, declared by the authorities in January this year, a total of 19,605 cases have been reported, with Luanda, the epicentre of the disease, leading the list with 6,285 of the total infections.
Regarding deaths, the cumulative total is 609 deaths, of which 208 were in Luanda.
