According to the Government, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, the ceremony took place at the Press Center of the Presidency of the Republic (CIPRA), in the capital.

On the occasion, Francisco Furtado stated that this was another stage in the normal process of renewing the leadership of an "important" body.

Furthermore, he also "highlighted the role that the newly inducted man has played in carrying out his activities and missions, especially in the Military House", the note reads.

Thus, he said that the officer has been working with the "leadership of the Military House since the Multisectoral Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19", and is also providing support to the Multisectoral Commission for Preparation and Support for the Conduct of the 2024 Census.

"He is an officer already known to us, who has been working particularly with the leadership of the Military House since the Multisectoral Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19, and is also supporting us in the Multisectoral Commission for Preparation and Support for Implementation of the 2024 Census", he said, quoted in the statement.

Commissioner Caetano Manuel Quiar replaces Commissioner Lisboa Mário, recently retired, to whom Francisco Furtado "wished success in the new phase of his life".

Still in the same ceremony, the note adds, Alda Albertina was promoted to the rank of chief superintendent.
