According to a note from CPLP, to which VerAngola had access, the congress will take place between the 14th and 16th of May, in the capital.

To be promoted by the governments of Brazil and Angola, in partnership with the CLPL Executive Secretariat, the event will take on a hybrid format, that is, it will also be broadcast on digital platforms, as well as being available in French, Spanish and English, enabling countries outside the Portuguese-speaking bloc to participate virtually.

"The congress will be held in a hybrid format, with live broadcast on YouTube from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and will be available in French, Spanish and English", the note reads.

The official opening of the event will take place on May 14th (at 9am in Brazil, four hours more in Angola) and will feature the participation of the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta.

In addition to the holder of the Health portfolio, the Secretary for Social Affairs of the President of the Republic, Marinela Gamboa Laureano, the Secretary of Primary Health Care of Brazil, representing the Minister of Health of Brazil, Felipe Proenço, the Ambassador of Brazil in Angola, Rafael de Mello Vidal, the director of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, ambassador Ruy Pereira, the director of Cooperation of the CPLP Executive Secretariat, Manuel Clarote Lapão and the director of the National Institute of Women's, Children's and Teenager Fernandes Figueira, representing the president of Fiocruz, Antônio Vitarelli Meirelles, refers the CPLP note.

According to the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, the event is an opportunity to exchange experiences about human milk banks, as well as other countries being able to learn about this experience.

Human milk banks represent a "strategic initiative to promote, protect and support breastfeeding, involving the collection, processing and distribution of milk to premature or low birth weight babies who cannot be fed by their mothers, in addition to offering support and guidance on breastfeeding", highlights ABC, cited in the CPLP note.

Those interested in following the congress virtually can do so here, as well as consult the program here.
