Municipality of Baía Farta will have a university campus

The municipality of Baía Farta, in the province of Benguela, will have a university campus. The announcement of the construction of the infrastructure was made, this Thursday, by Rosário Bragança, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

The holder of the Higher Education, Science and Innovation portfolio made it known – quoted by Angop – that the future campus aims to improve the infrastructures, as well as the teaching and working conditions available to students and the teaching community.

In addition, the minister also revealed that the new campus will later accommodate a polytechnic institute.

It should be noted that Rosário Bragança is on a two-day workday in Benguela. In keeping with her agenda – which includes visiting some higher education establishments –, the minister visited, this Thursday, the Faculty of Medicine of the Katyavala Bwila University.

In addition, she also visited Benguela General Hospital where, according to Angop, she met professionals who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Katyavala Bwila University, expressing the Government's commitment to training, despite certain constraints.

For this Friday, the minister's agenda foresees a meeting with students and teachers, with the aim of clarifying the school body about the initiatives underway in the province, highlighting the future campus in Baía Farta, writes Angop.
