Benguela International Fair has already opened its doors and has more than 360 exhibitors

The twelfth edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB) started this Wednesday and has more than 360 exhibitors.

Taking place at the National Stadium in Ombaka until next Saturday, May 27, the event was opened by Manuel Nunes Júnior, Minister of State for Economic Coordination.

Speaking at the opening, Nunes Júnior encouraged exhibitors "not to stop developing their productive and commercial activities", says a note from the General Tax Administration (AGT), which VerAngola had access to.

The minister also assured that the Government supports innovation initiatives and partnerships in favor of creating prosperity for all. Furthermore, quoted by Jornal de Angola, the official stressed that after the country left an extensive period of economic recession, two years ago, the national economy "regain growth".

The governor of Benguela, Luís Nunes, who gave the welcome speech to those present, underlined that the province is engaged with the development, future and well-being of the population.

This edition of the FIB, which according to Jornal de Angola has more than 360 exhibitors, will enable the exhibition of products and services from national and foreign companies and cooperatives from the most diverse sectors. According to the AGT note, the sectors "range from mobile telephony services, banking, agriculture, agriculture, telecommunications, transport, fishing, education and health".

In addition, adds the note, the event will also have "several parallel activities such as the FIB Talk Summit, exhibition of the municipalities of Benguela, workshops, conferences and the award gala".

In addition to the official opening and inauguration of the twelfth edition of the fair, the program for this first day includes two conferences: the first on the theme "The Agricultural Sector in Angola: Challenges and Potentialities", allusive to the agricultural theme, and the second with the theme "Momento Money".

At the end of the afternoon, around 20:00, the closure of the first day of the exhibition is scheduled.

It should be noted that during the four days, the FIB will be open between 10:00 and 20:00. Tickets are on sale at the venue and cost 1000 kwanzas per day.
