The vice-president of the Technical Council of the Angolan Football Federation José Neves clarified that the endorsement is temporary and that after the qualification phase for the African Cup of Nations (CAN), which will be played in June and July, on the Costa do Ivory, in 2023, the stadium will be closed again.
In November 2021, CAF, exceptionally, guided the holding of the game between the teams of Angola and Egypt, in the same sports venue, to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
