The coordinator of the political project PRA-JA Servir Angola urged the construction of a country based on the truth, as the past was characterized “in lies, manipulation of facts and demonization of competitors”, as is currently seen.

Abel Chivukuvuku, who integrates with the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), the Democratic Bloc (BD) and representatives of civil society, the United Patriotic Front (FPU) platform, participated in the 1st Congress of the Nation: " Thinking Angola, for a Common Consensus Project".

In a set of concerns that he listed, Chivukuvuku pointed out the need to know how to define "a shared vision about the state model, about the political system and what structures of political power are the most suitable for the future".

"We should decide that, regardless of the identity of public authorities, Angolans will always be the reason for our vocation for public service, without Angolans at the center of our concerns, everything else is irrelevant", he stressed.

In the medium and long term, the politician who was once a leader of UNITA and a founding member of the second largest political force of the Angolan opposition, the Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola - Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE), asked that appropriate measures be considered necessary in this moment that the country lives and will live in the coming months.

Abel Chivukuvuku launched a challenge to ecclesiastical entities and traditional authorities to, if possible, as a "credible, neutral, national entity, to be present and conciliate us and help in moments of difficult understanding, because they will exist".

In turn, for the leader of the Democratic Bloc, Filomeno Vieira Lopes, Angola has an exhausting work to do and needs its citizens to be fully aware of it and willing to work hard.

"Without the dedication of each one, to do the best of themselves, with conscience and ethics in each area in which it operates, this country will not evolve, the responsibility belongs to all of us and all of us today have a global problem and the solution is global", said Filomeno Vieira Lopes, defending that the political culture of Angola needs to be inverted.

The leader of CASA-CE, Manuel Fernandes, regretted that as Angola is a rich country, it is characterized by being only an exporter of raw materials, considering that it is essential to establish beacons at the state level to guarantee stability.

"Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go, because it is not possible to talk about democracy and consolidate democracy, if there is no internal will, political actors must recognize the exercise of democracy", he stressed.

The National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA) and the National Patriotic Alliance (APN), members of civil society, traditional authorities and religious leaders were also represented at the meeting.
