SISTEC reopens headquarters store after investment of 120 million kwanzas

One hundred and twenty million kwanzas and 600 square meters later, the Angolan SISTEC now has a renovated headquarters store, in Maculusso, in Luanda. The large investment is part of the company's restructuring plan, ready to feint the pandemic and continue to invest in the renewal of its commercial network.

:

To VerAngola, the company's Marketing and Communications director explained that these new projects were already being considered since 2019, following a severe crisis felt since 2015 and that led the company to lay off about 50 percent of its workforce and to restructure itself.

"After this restructuring, SISTEC outlined objectives and concentrated financial resources to achieve them," said Ndalo Rocha. One example was the investment in a new management software, in partnership with the Portuguese company Eticadata.

At the end of 2020, the company invested around two million dollars to launch a new line of business that focuses on renewable energies.

The renovations of the brand's stores follow the same "modus operandi", as is the case of the Maculusso store, explains the official. ""In 2019, 80 million kwanzas were invested for the renovation of the first phase, completed already in 2020. Also in that same year, the renovation works of the second phase also started, which totaled an investment of 120 million kwanzas and were concluded last Thursday, with the reopening of the store", said Ndalo Rocha.

Thus, the heart of the city of Luanda can now count on a renovated store, in a new space of around 600 square meters where it is possible to find computers, household products, large and small appliances, televisions and computer accessories. In the contiguous store, the one that opened in the first phase in 2020, there are gadgets, phones, watches and other technology accessories.

The pandemic emerged as another setback in the company's path, but it was quickly overcome and overcome. The lower turnout in stores, also resulting from compliance with the rules imposed by the Government, led the company to bet on an online store - loja.sistec.co.ao.

"This new digital platform allows to reinforce sales, retaining new customers through a more secure and convincing sale", explained the responsible to VerAngola. On the other hand, he added, it ends up reinforcing the traditional channel of physical stores, "because it allows to communicate almost the entire portfolio of the brand". SISTEC has about 1000 products in its online store.

The route imposed by the restructuring is to maintain, with the business plan going through the renewal of the remaining retail network in the coming years, says the Marketing Director. In 2020, the first phase of the Maculusso headquarters store and the technical store (dedicated to professional sound and energy solutions) were renovated, and in 2021, the second phase of the headquarters store.
