Petro de Luanda qualify for the African Basketball League semi-finals

Angolans from Petro de Luanda qualified this Wednesday for the semi-finals of the African basketball league, after a victory over AS Salé, from Morocco, 79-72, at the Arena de Kigali pavilion, in Rwanda.

The Angolans, who had defeated the same opponent in the group stage of the competition, won, at halftime, by 43-35, on a night when Angolan Carlos Morais, a former Benfica player, was considered the MVP of the game with 17 converted points .

As a result of this victory, the fourth consecutive, Petro de Luanda will face Friday, in the semi-finals, Zamalek, team from Egypt, which, in turn, eliminated the FAP, from Cameroon.

It is recalled that in the group stage, Angolans from Petro de Luanda ended unbeaten, as a result of the triumphs over AS Police, in Mali, by 84-66, FAP, in Cameroon, 66-64 and AS Salé, in Morocco , 97-78.

This Thursday, the Monastir of Tunisia will face Douanes of Senegal and the Patriots of Rwanda will face the Ferrovia de Maputo.
