1º de Agosto wins and resumes leadership of Girabola

The 1st of August, trained by the Portuguese Paulo Duarte, returned to the leadership of the national football championship, after winning Desportivo da Huíla, by 2-0, in a game counting for the 19th round.

The goals of the title champions were scored by Melono Dala, younger brother of Gelson Dala, from Rio Ave, in the 68th minute, and Mabululu, in the 75th minute, in a match played at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in Luanda.

With this victory, the 'military' now total 43 points, relegating to second place, with the same 41 points, Sagrada Esperança.

Interclube, trained by Portuguese Ivo Campos, drew 1-1 against Progresso Sambizanga.

The 'sambilas', a name also attributed to Progresso, opened the scoring, by Julinho, in the 68th minute, while, five minutes later, the 'policemen' equaled the match with a goal by Mano Calesso.
With this tie, the group guided by the Portuguese Ivo Campos remains in the fifth position with 33 points.

Recreativo do Libolo, coached by the Portuguese Paulo Torres, consented to the second consecutive defeat, by losing against Sporting de Cabinda by 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Cadima, on 28 minutes.

Petro de Luanda moved up to third place in the competition, as a result of the victory over Santa Rita de Cássia by 1-0. Tiago Azulão, in the 37th minute, scored the solitary goal of the match. With the triumph, the 'oil companies' now have 39 points.

At the Kurikutelas stadium, in Huambo province, Ferrovia beat Bravos do Maquis 2-0. The goals of the 'locomotives' were scored by Paizinho, in the 27th minute and Vingumba, in the 67th.

At Buraco stadium, Benguela province, southern Angola, Académica do Lobito, with a controversial goal, supplanted Baixa de Cassanje by 2-1.

The 'students' opened the scoring, on 25 minutes, with a goal by Macussa, and, minutes later, Rubson equalized the match. The goal of the triumph, scored by Giresse, was controversial.

Recreativo da Caála, in turn, beat Wiliet de Benguela 2-0. The goals were scored by Deco in the 42nd and 74th minutes.

The 19th matchday, this Wednesday, also registered the postponement of the confrontation between Sagrada Esperança, from Luanda Norte, and Cuando Cubango FC, due to the fact that the 'diamond workers' did not travel to Bié, South Angola, due to lack air transport, which led to the departure being rescheduled for 26 May.

Das Faa, from Interclube, Mabululu, from 1º de Agosto, and Tiago Azulão, from Petro de Luanda, are the best scorers in the championship with eight goals each.
