CMC launches a scientific research contest for university students. One million kwanzas and internships for the winners

The Capital Market Commission (CMC), launched last month the first edition of a scientific research contest. Named "CMC and the Universities", the candidates are eligible to win one million kwanzas and three-month professional internships at CMC.

The contest is aimed at final-year university students in the country, with good written and spoken fluency of the Portuguese language.

According to CMC, "the contest aims to involve this student layer in the dynamization of the capital market. It also intends to stimulate the "knowledge about the Angolan securities market (MVM)" and aims at "conducting scientific research on themes related to the MVM".

In a communiqué published on its website, the CMC explains that in order to create the research projects, the students will have to work in groups (five elements each) on themes related to the securities market.

Those interested in participating in the contest have until the end of the month, May 31st, to apply. After sending the application "the competitors will receive an automatic e-mail acknowledging receipt and indicating that the projects will be sent for analysis and evaluation by the jury indicated by CMC.

The choice of the winners is expected to take place in September, and the announcement is expected to take place between October and November.

"The winning team will be awarded with the monetary value of one million kwanzas to be divided among the team members. They will also receive computer equipment, professional internship for a period of three months at CMC, for each of the participants. They will be contemplated with meetings with the President of CMC, besides the recognition with the merit certificate as CMC Ambassadors for Universities", reveals CMC.
