The information was advanced by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda. All citizens who took the first dose of the vaccine against covid-19 between 2 and 15 March will now be summoned for the second and last dose, via telephone message or e-mail.
Vaccinees should go to the places where they were given the first dose, presenting the vaccination card and a barcode form, provided at the first dose. The aim is to speed up the process.
So far, 524,298 people have been vaccinated since the campaign began.
Number of hospitalized patients has tripled in the last three weeks
The treatment units for covid-19 in the country recorded a "dizzying growth" of patients, with new entries, adding to the worsening of the health status of previously hospitalized patients.
The information was provided by the Government, on its website, which blames this increase with "non-compliance with biosafety measures".
In intensive care, since the 9th of April, there has been an increase above 50 percent of serious cases, having reduced the recovery rate to 3.6 percent.
Also according to the Secretary of State for Public Health, in Luanda, the most affected locations are Belas, Cacuaco, Cazenga, Kilamba Kiaxi, Maianga, Ingombota, Rangel, Talatona, Samba, Sambizanga and Viana.
