This will be the 36th edition of the show, which was not held last year due to the covid-19 pandemic. The last edition of Filda, held in 2019, had representations from 21 countries.

This year, the Arena group, the entity promoting the fair, chooses again the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to host the fair, having already initiated contacts at the international level and received expressions of interest in own representations by Portugal, Germany, Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Belarus, according to a source of the organization.

The Portuguese Business Association (AEP) is organizing the participation of national companies in the fair, noting that "it continues to be the biggest international trade event in Angola.

On its website, AEP stresses the improvement of Angola's public policies and greater diversification of the economy and points out that "by 2022 the privatization of 190 Angolan state companies and assets is planned, allowing foreign investors access to key sectors of the economy such as banking, agriculture, hotels and tourism, finance, insurance, industry, telecommunications and oil, among others.

Before Filda the 10th edition of the Benguela International Fair will take place in Benguela, between May 27 and 30, at the D'Ombaka National Stadium, which is presented as the biggest business exchange in southern Angola and aims to show the potential of this province.
