First Angola-DRC Business Forum arrives in August in Luanda

Luanda will host in August the first Angola-Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Business Forum. Around two hundred economic agents, both Angolan and from the DRC, have already confirmed their presence at this forum, which aims to consolidate and foster the commercial circuit between the two countries.

:

"We are preparing the first bilateral business forum that will bring together several Angolan economic agents and RD Congolese at the beginning of August," said the president of the Angola-DRC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jô Mpiassa Dias.

Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola, he said that they hope to "bring together more than 200 people.

He also made it known that despite the pandemic, the work continues to be done: "Despite the pandemic situation we are not stopped, we are working our bilateral relationship.

According to Jô Mpiassa Dias, the forum will serve to consolidate and promote "the commercial circuit" that exists between the two countries.

"Angola still has a little advanced step in relation to the DRC. In terms of customs administration the DRC still needs our support in terms of consulting to organize its customs administration," he said.

He indicated that there are several complaints about bureaucracy, adding that it is these complaints that they intend to discuss at the forum.

The forum will have "a very big impact because it is the first bilateral forum expected," he added.
