Road accidents cause three deaths and ten injuries over the weekend in Luanda

During the weekend, the police registered three deaths and ten injuries, out of a total of nine road accidents, in the province of Luanda, in addition to the arrest of 123 citizens alleged to have committed various crimes.

In the document distributed to the press, it is stated that, of the total number of accidents, nine were due to being run over, "presumably resulting from the lack of precaution of public road users in general".

The police also seized two vehicles, 12 motorized and fined 334 motorists for various infractions of the Highway Code.

"It should also be noted that 36 citizens were fined for disobedience to the mandatory use of a face mask, in accordance with paragraph 1 of article 4 of Presidential Decree No. 106/21, of 28 April", it is highlighted in the note.

In the period under analysis, it is stated in the document, nine firearms were seized, six of which were AKM-type machine guns and three pistols, in addition to the recovery of two vehicles.
