Buses will only circulate again with 75 percent of the capacity from June 8

Public road passenger transport will resume operations with 50 percent of capacity next Tuesday and from 8 June up to 75 percent of capacity, according to the rules approved on Monday by the government.

Rail transport shall resume operation as from 9 June, limited to 50 per cent of capacity. The motor-taxi activity will have its own regulation.

The executive approved on Monday the declaration of a state of public calamity, with new rules for the operation of public and private services to prevent and control the covid-19 pandemic, keeping the health fence in Luanda until 9 June.

Transport operators will have to provide workers and users with means of cleaning their hands at the entrance and exit of vehicles and stations and make regular cleaning of vehicles and areas of stations and stops.

It is mandatory for workers and users to wear a face mask and the recommended physical distance between users must be maintained during waiting periods at stops and stations, as well as when purchasing tickets and entering passengers.
