Government wants international entities to manage Lobito Port terminals

The Government will contract, via tender, international entities to manage the port terminals in Lobito. According to the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D'Abreu is already preparing all the conditions for the concessions of the terminals.

According to the ruler, who was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new Board of Directors of the Port of Lobito, the Port Company of Lobito will operate as a kind of "Landlord Port".

Ricardo D'Abreu explained that Lobito's Port Company and the other international companies should agree on matters related to the port, underlining that the matters should meet the good use of public resources.

The Port of Lobito will have some challenges ahead, he said, highlighting its restructuring. However, despite this, the responsible appealed to the administration and other companies to work together to make the port a profitable source of income for the country, writes Angop.
