The justification given for the extension of the deadline by a further 45 days relates to the extension of the state of emergency to contain the spread of the covid-19 pandemic, which ends on 25 May.

The tender is for three independent experts to assess and determine the basic selling prices of Angolan rough diamonds.

Bidders will be able to submit their bids by 3 July and the activities of the contracted independent evaluators are expected to begin on 2 September 2020.
