Covid-19: country increased capacity to 400 tests per day

The Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, announced this Tuesday that the country has increased the testing capacity of the covid-19 to 400 tests per day and has been taking samples in the provinces, which have been negative until now.

:

At a press conference, the minister said that the tests are being carried out in several laboratories and that the Government has been making “every effort” to acquire the reagents and asked for support from international agencies that “have also paved the way for these acquisitions. ”.

"We have also been making efforts with manufacturers, but it is not like going to a supermarket to buy an appliance, it is much more complex", stressed the minister.

Sílvia Lutucuta also indicated that random tests are being carried out and “samples have been arriving from the provinces”, but none of them positive.

In addition, mass testing is also being carried out on health fences, including the “huge Hoji-ya-Henda fence”, with around 3000 people.

Regarding the positive cases detected in Portugal concerning six citizens from Angola, three were excluded and as for the other three, “they are still looking for information”.
