About a thousand passengers should go to the National School of Public Health - located in Morro Bento (urban district of Samba), where until the end of April the collection of samples took place.

These citizens followed home quarantine after arrival and were tested as a precaution. So far, it is known that there is a positive analysis of an isolated case, known as “case 31”. The remaining results are awaited.

Still in the epidemiological update of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, Franco Mufinda made it known that there are no new cases of infection in the country. One more recovered was announced, putting the count of these cases at 14.

Thus, 45 positive cases are maintained, two deaths and the number of recovered patients rises to 14. 29 cases are active in which patients are clinically stable. There are 18 cases of local transmission among the positive ones.

According to data gathered by Angop, 842 people are in institutional quarantine, with 101 discharged in the last 24 hours.

A total of 5843 samples were processed in the laboratory, resulting in 45 known positive cases and 5428 negative cases. There are currently 370 samples in processing.

The official also made official the information that all passengers from Cuba tested negative, having already received their guides with the results.

At the press conference, Franco Mufinda called for compliance with preventive measures, such as wearing a mask, hand washing and distancing and social confinement whenever possible.
