Increase in national production with special attention from the Government

The government wants to continue to focus on increasing national production, especially during this time of fighting the covid-19 pandemic, so that the national economy does not remain too dependent on the oil sector.

According to Manuel Nunes Júnior, Minister of State for Economic Coordination, despite the financial difficulties that the country is facing, the executive has kept the construction and rehabilitation projects of roads and public buildings underway.

In the eyes of the ruler, the good quality of these structures is half-way through so that production can grow. "Given the importance of roads, especially secondary and tertiary roads in the process of increasing national production, we must try to keep the projects underway," he explained.

Cited by Angop, the holder of the State portfolio for Economic Coordination stressed that the municipalities should develop a master plan that meets the National Development Plan. This alignment of ideas will help the country to grow faster and more effectively.

Manuel Tavares de Almeida, Minister of Public Works and Spatial Planning, said that the fall of oil due to the covid-19 pandemic will force the government to adapt its public investment program.

According to the governor, the executive will have to invest in projects that guarantee the growth of the national economy.
